COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information generally means any information or opinion about an individual from which that person can be identified, or, from which their identity can be reasonable ascertained. Ashington's policy is to use or disclose personal information for the purpose which was specified or reasonably apparent at the time the information was collected or any other related purpose which a customer would reasonably expect it to be used.
Should Ashington wish to use or disclose information in other circumstances it would obtain consent from the customer.
SHARING INFORMATION WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS
Ashington does not sell personal information to companies outside of Ashington. We may disclose personal information to service providers who provide services in connection with our products and services.
MARKETING
Where an individual is on Ashington's marketing databases it may be reasonably assumed that the customer has consented to receiving direct marketing. A customer may remove their name from all or some marketing lists should they so wish. If the customer no longer wishes to receive promotional information from Ashington, the customer should advise Ashington and records will be amended within 30 days.
SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Ashington will take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. Customer information is held on secure servers or in secure storage areas on the company premises. Ashington employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of any personal information held.
ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION
Customers are welcome to request personal information that Ashington holds about them. To obtain a copy of the information that Ashington holds, please contact Ashington's Privacy Officer. Ashington may require personal identification.
CORRECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Ashington will take reasonable steps to correct information about a customer where that information is not accurate, up to date or correct. If a customer wishes to change personal information, they may write to Ashington's Privacy Officer.
CHANGES IN THE FUTURE
Ashington reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Ashington will notify any changes by posting an updated version of the policy on the Ashington website at www.ashington.com
